If you want to know about the long-term effects of MMS on your body, read on. This article is about that, and we do often know that MMS, used long-term, can induce nausea, but you might be surprised to know that this supplement can induce inflammation as well. And in fact, inflammation that’s only present briefly can actually be a benefit, because over the short term, it can increase blood flow to the tissues and give extra nutritional support to tissues and organs that need to heal. This is absolutely fine and even necessary over a short period of time, but if your immune response is not sufficient to destroy diseased tissue or invading microbes, inflammation can become long-lasting and actually damage the body instead of helping it. It’s a known fact that many of today’s chronic diseases are in fact driven at least in part in part by inflammation.
Chlorine dioxide actually works very effectively in killing microbes because it’s a powerful oxidizer. Substances that perform oxidization within the body generally give you a strong immune response, which is why inflammation often happens — and why it may actually be necessary if you’re healing. Inflammation is your body’s way to expedite the healing process by giving additional nutritional support where you need it, and can also remove wastes after the fact. And of course, none of us likes to experience inflammation, because it can be very unpleasant indeed. However, short-term inflammation may very well be necessary to maintain good health. What’s unfortunate about this is that modern medicine actually sees the inflammation as only a bad thing. Modern medicine treats pathology by suppressing the inflammation response, often by using anti-inflammatory medications given to suppress inflammation, which is nature’s way of dealing with disease and healing.
As we get older, chronic disease becomes more common, too. If you are undergoing some type of chronic ailment, you’re going to be stripped of your antioxidant supplies with your body. If you use MMS over the long-term, this is usually going to be exacerbated. As you can probably guess, then, you should supplement with additional antioxidant support as you consume MMS. And as you consume these additional antioxidants, you should take them separate from MMS. For example, if you take MMS before breakfast and before bed, take antioxidants toward the middle of the day, away from the times when you take your MMS.
Antioxidant “supplementation” includes antioxidants taken in both the form of supplements and in the form of food. For example, supplements like vitamins C, E and the B complex vitamins, grape seed extract, and coenzyme Q10 are within this group, as are foods that are rich in antioxidants, too. These include foods like polyunsaturated oils, green tea, turmeric, berries, and fresh fruit. All of these things are best if you take them separately from MMS. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is a powerful supplement for oxidant sensitive structures like the eyes, brain and heart. When you consume vitamin C, you should make sure to consume at least one to two hours either before or after you take your MMS, because each will cancel the other out once the chlorine dioxide molecule contacts the vitamin C.
Expanding upon what is said in the paragraph above, if for some reason an individual has overdosed on sodium chlorite, a large volume of clean potable water mixed with ascorbic acid should be consumed over the period of 2 hours, as this is the most effective way in which to neutralize the chlorine dioxide compound. If further measures are required to bring about relief, then it may be wise to induce vomiting to expel what may be left within the stomach.
As with anything, too much MMS is not a good thing — yes, including this miracle mineral supplement. So be careful and remember that health is a many-layered consideration. However, if you take enough time and are diligent enough, your body itself will strive for equilibrium, and return itself to health.
